Eurasian Development Bank may invest about $2 billion in power engineering

The Eurasian Development Bank may invest 1.5-2 billion dollars in the development of the Belarusian power engineering. The head of the board of directors Ihar Finahenau informed journalists about it at the opening ceremony of the Belarusian representative office of the bank. According to Finahenau, besides the power engineering development programme, they are realizing projects costing about 630 million dollars in other fields.

According to Finahenau, the opening of the bank’s representative office will give a great stimulus to increase the commodity circulation between Belarus, the EurAsEC and CIS member states. It will promote the development of mutual financing and realization of infrastructure projects, reports BelaPAN.
