"European Democratic Students" set demands to authorities
The "European Democratic Students" demand that the Belarusian authorities should release all the detained for participation in the actions on December 19 and 20 and stop criminal and administrative pressure on them, reports BelaPAN. It is stated in the appeal that, as in 2006, the current presidential election had not been recognised by the OSCE, a number of EU countries, and the USA due to violations and non-correspondence to the international norms, recorded by observers. "One of the reasons for taking such a strict decision with regard to Belarus was using of excess physical force against the peaceful demonstrators, who went out to protest against the election falsifications, and their arrests", — stated in the appeal.
"We condemn the illegal actions of the Belarusian force structures and appeal to release all the citizens who are now detained, either preventively of after the peaceful demonstration on December 19, 2010, and also to stop criminal and administrative pressure on them and to abolish all the politically motivated accusations", — states EDS.
The EDS Chairman Bence Bauer signed the appeal.
