Fire in Minsk metro
Fire broke out on October 16 at the Lenin's Square metro station in Minsk. The station was immediately closed and people were evacuated. Emergencies Ministry spokesman Vitak Nvitski described the incident as "not very serious" to the European Radio for Belarus:
“The fire was in located in a store room. Before fire-fighter arrived at the site, duty police officiers had put out the fire and evacuated the passengers according to instructions".
According to Vital Navitski, the movement of the trains was not disrupted.
