Fire in storehouse of “Prommedinvest” in Minsk
A fire in the open part of the storehouse of “Prommedinvest” took place today in Soltys Lane, 5 in Minsk.
Black smoke reached hostels in Vaupshasava Street. The fire was extinguished an hour later.
The Ministry of Emergency Control informed the European Radio for Belarus that there was no dangerous emission into the atmosphere and nobody was injured.
MEC person on duty: “There were mostly packages burning in the 80 square meters territory: cardboard, paper and wooden cases. We got the notice at 9.41 and the fire was extinguished at 10.45”.
The “Prommedinvest” enterprise delivers equipment, utilities and materials to Belarusian industrial enterprises. It also deals with delivery of road-building materials, public and special technical equipment produced by “Amcador” to Russia.
The enterprise did not confirm the information about the fire but noted that there were boxes with cars and road equipment in the storehouse.
