First Belarusian-language school to open in Moscow
A secondary school with subjects taught in the Belarusian and Russian languages -- the first in Russia -- will be opened in Moscow in 2011, according to the administration of the South-East County of the Russian capital city. Valery Kazakov who heads a local Belarusian cultural group Belarusians of Russia, says that optional classes in the Belarusian language, culture and history will be introduced in Moscow's four counties in September 2010 in order to indentify the number of students of the future school. It is yet to be determined which subjects will be taught in the Russian and Belarusian languages, reports Belapan.
