First nights of Swedish performances take place in Hrodna
Directors Sybrig Dokter and Benno Voorham showed the results of their mutual work with Belarusian dancers in Hrodna Regional Drama Theatre on September 5. Dancing performances "But not me..." and "Where the water flows up" have been rehearsed for less than two months. The performances involve young actors from Hrodna and the dancers of Minsk choreographic band "Karakuli". Sybrig Dokter specially looked for Belarusian music to use during her performance. Belarusian bands "Drum Ecstasy” and “Porte Moné” played in "Where the water flows up".
Benno Voorham stated that many people were afraid not to understand abstract art. "It should not be ignored", - thinks the dancer, - "Everyone can find something that's important for him, in it".
Modern Swedish choreography nights have been organized by the Swedish Embassy in Belarus. Inhabitants of Minsk will be able to see the performances in the Belarusian Drama Theatre on September 7 and 8.
