Flowers and presents brought to Ryhor Baradulin

Friends and readers of Ryhor Baradulin gathered near the central entrance of the President’s Administration hospital at half past five on February 24. They brought flowers and presents to congratulate the poet on his birthday. The national poet has spent 10 days in the reanimation department and celebrated his 75th anniversary there. Baradulin’s wife met them near the entrance to the hospital. Mrs. Valyanstina informed that the poet was in a good mood and had even walked a bit.

The head of the Union of Belarusian Writers Ales Pashkevich said that the congratulation in the National poet’s absence did not mean that the great party planned to take place later would be cancelled.

Amateurs of Ryhor Baradulin’s work prayed for his speedy recovery in the Red Catholic Church in the evening, reports Radio “Liberty”.
