FM Martynau leaves for EU Troika meeting

Belarusian Foreign Minister Syarhey Martynau is expected to meet with the European Union's Troika in Brussels on July 28. The meeting will be part of an EU conference at the level of foreign ministers. The EU officials are expected to discuss with Martynau recent changes in Belarus, relations between Belarus and the EU and the Eastern Partnership, a spokesman for the Swedish foreign ministry told ERB.

Since October 2008, top EU officials have been meeting with Belarusian ministers every six months.

On July 28, Martynau is expected to meet with Javier Solana, the EU foreign policy and security chief; Benita Ferrero-Waldner, commissioner for external relations and the European Neighborhood Policy; and Swedish Foreign Minister Carl Blidt.
