Belarusian Foreign Minister Syarhey Martynau on
Wednesday arrived in Latvia
for talks with President Valdis Zatlers, Prime Minister Valdis Dombrovskis and
his Latvian counterpart, Maris Riekstins, BelaPAN reported. The meetings were expected to focus on a broad
range of issues relating to the development of relations between Belarus and Latvia
and also Belarus'
cooperation with the European Union, the Belarusian foreign ministry’s press
office said.
This is the first official visit of Belarus’
foreign minister to Riga
in the last 11 years.
