Former border control chief appointed as Belarus ambassador in France

Alexander Lukashenka has appointed Alexander Pavlovski as Belarus's Ambassador to France and as the Permanent Representative in UNESCO, said the press office of the head of the state.
Before April 10, 2007 Pavlovski served as the chairman of the State Border Control Committee of Belarus.

Talking to reporters, Pavlovski noted that he planned to vitalize the cultural cooperation with UNESCO as well as the ties between Belarus and France in the technical field, reports Belta.
