Former deputy head of Krupki District Executive Committee is imprisoned

The former deputy head of Krupki District Executive Committee Uladzimir Sinyak has been sentenced to 9 years of imprisonment. The decision was taken by Minsk Central District Court. He was returned guilty of having accepted a bribe due to extortion and abuse of power.

It turned out that the official tried to “make money” using one Moscow businessman. He promised to help him with selling an unfinished ceramic plant and said he would lower the price twice.

The deputy head of the District Executive Committee had been hoping to get 212 thousand dollars but he was detained after having received a smaller “reward” of 6300 USD.
