Forty days since Aleh Byabenin’s death

Today is forty days since the death of the founder and head of the website charter97.org Aleh Byabenin. The journalist was found hanged in his summer house not far from Minsk on September 3, reminds Charter’97. The police informed that it was a suicide at first. However, Byabenin’s death caused a lot of questions. Forensic medical experts cannot even tell the exact date of the journalist’s death. At first they claimed that he had died in the afternoon of September 3 and the next day experts said that the tragedy had occurred on September 2.

Investigators have claimed later that they are considering the possibility that the journalist was killed and the suicide was feigned.
