For Freedom! movement responds to KGB chief's statement

The For Freedom! movement has responed with the issue of badges "1768" to the controversial statement by Belarus's KGB chairman Yury Zhadobin about "a community of destructive elements" which he used to describe members of the opposition. “I wouldn't say that they are a threat to the national security of this country. The so called community... comprises 1767 members only. We know all of them by face and name. Their number is not growing," Zhadobin told a recent news conference in Minsk.

Members of the For Freedom! movement stated that "the number of those discontented with the authoritarian regime is always bigger than the numbers announced by KGB generals whose main goal is to calm down their master," reports Nasha Niva.
