Fundraising campaign aimed at loss compensation in Square case is organized
The plaintiff promised to withdraw the claim if the civil initiative donates money to recompense the loss of the state.
The civil plaintiff has announced the sum of loss caused by the so-called "massacre" of the House of Government, at the court trial against Vasil Parfiankou. The civil claim amounts to 14 million 48 thousand roubles.
The representatives of the Chief Economic Department of the President's Administration, which possess the House of Government, answering the question "If a civil initiative donates money to cover the state's loss, will you withdraw the civil claim against the accused?" in the presence of journalists, have said, that if all the losses are recompensed, they will withdraw the said claim.
"We need to recompense this "loss" so the lawyers would be able to say at trials that the accused have covered all the losses and it would be an additional argument for withdrawal of all accusations",- the organizers of the fundrasing campaign say. "We need to do it on an urgent basis - till Tuesday, when a new trial starts, so that no civil claims would be made against the next accused", -they clarify.
The organizers of the fundraising campaign state that they already have half of the necessary sum. Collecting of money is planned to be continued today at the address Masherau Ave, 8.
