Gas meter for Eternal Fire in Homel
The memorial complex Eternal Fire in Homel will be closed for reconstruction on May 11. The Belapan news agency reports that major works will be finished by July 3, 2009.
The culture ministry is considering a project which envisages the mounting of two memorial plates from black granite in memory of military pilots and sailors.
A gas meter will also be installed on the Eternal Fire in order to control maintenance expenditures.
