"Gazeta Wyborcza": Andrei Pachobut’s case will receive publicity
Roman Imielski, the deputy had of the international department of "Gazeta Wyborcza" has commented on the detention of their reporter Andrei Pachobut for Euroradio.
Let us remind you that KGB members brought the journalist from Hrodna to Minsk at night and are going to make him stand trial for participation in the protest action on December 19.
Roman Imielski: “We published a large article on the second page after Andrei Pachobut’s last visit to KGB. We are preparing an editorial for “Wyborcza” this time. Publicity will be the best assistance for him. We always inform international journalist organizations but Lukashenka does not care about them…
We have worked out some other means of affecting the situation, but I should rather not make them public. We will do everything we can”.
