Gazprom pays $228mn for gas transit while Belarus insists on $260mn

Gazprom has paid $228 million for gas transit to Belarus, Russian gas monopoly's special representative Sergei Kupriyanov said in a statement. The Russian news agency Ria Novosti reports that Gazprom paid the transit fees in accordance with the contract.  The Belarusian side insists this is not a total amount to be covered for transit fees. Belarus expects Gazprom to pay $260 million.

On June 24 in the morning, Gazprom completely restored gas supplies to Belarus.
