German Minister for Foreign Affairs: Harassment of opposition is unacceptable

The head of the German Ministry for Foreign Affairs Guido Westerwelle said yesterday that he was deeply concerned by the information which had arrived from Minsk yesterday. Westerwelle said it was unacceptable that the opposition candidates and their supporters were "harassed, beaten, arrested", when they tried to use their right for freedom of convictions.

He also stated that the EU will consider OSCE's report on the Belarusian election thoroughly.
