Memorial services have been held in Belarus and abroad on October 20 to mark the 65th
anniversary of the liquidation by the Nazis of the Minsk ghetto. Belarusian leader Alyaksandr
Lukashenka, diplomats and religious leaders have laid wreaths at the Yama Holocaust
memorial.
The Yama Memorial commemorates some 5,000
prisoners of the Minsk
ghetto who were slaughtered by Nazis on March 2, 1942.
