Great Britain accuses Belarusian authorities in violence

British European Affairs Minister David Leadington condemned the Belarusian authorities for violence against the opposition. This is said in a statement published at the web-site of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Britain.  "Great Britain strongly condemns all the acts of violence which accompanied the presidential election in Belarus. We are seriously concerned that the authorities obviously used too extreme force against the demonstrants at the street action in Minsk on December 19.

I am shocked and horrified by beatings, arrests and detentions of the presidential candidates, journalists, civil activists and other people", — quotes the Minister's words "Gazeta.Ru".
