Hanlon to think one day whether to keep coaching Belarus hockey team

Glen Hanlon said he will take one day to think whether to continue coaching Team Belarus, BelaPAN reported.

The former NHL goaltender has lost his job as head coach of Belarus’ flagship ice hockey team, Dinamo Minsk after a 4-1 home defeat at the hands of Continental Hockey League underdogs Amur Khabarovsk on Tuesday.

Uladzimir Navumaw, chairman of the Belarusian Ice Hockey Federation, said that the team lacks character and the current coaching staff is not able to instill it.

HC Homyel coach Alyaksandr Andryyeuski, who captained Team Belarus for many years, will replace Hanlon at the helm of Dinamo Minsk.
