Head of Poland flies home from Vitsebsk

The Polish delegation headed by the Marshal of the Sejm, Acting President of Poland Bronisław Komorowski, set off home from Vitsebsk late in the evening on May 9. BelTA notes that the Polish delegation took part in the celebration of the 65th anniversary of the Victory in Moscow. Then the Poles visited Smolensk and commemorated those who died in the plane crash on April 10. They decided to return home from Belarus – from airport “Vitsebsk”.

The delegation consisted of 60 people including Wojciech Jaruzelski, Andrzej Wajda, high-ranking officials, civil representatives and journalists. Belarus put comfortable buses and cars at the delegation’s disposal to help them travel from the border of the Russian Federation to Vitsebsk.
