Headquarters of division headed by Georgii Zhukov is blown up in Slutsk

The headquarters of a cavalry division headed by Georgii Zhukov in the 1930s and a number of other buildings have been demolished by miners in Slutsk.
The buildings were uninhabited for 6 years and began falling to ruin. “Narodnaya Hazeta” reports that some people did not approve of the decision to blow up the former headquarters of Zhukov. Some war veterans demanded to preserve the historic building but the authorities did not listen to them.
