Hearing of “live shield” case continues in Minsk

The hearing of the case of two driving inspectors who organized “a live shield” out of people’s cars on Minsk-Miklashevichy highway in March continues in Minsk District and Zaslauye Court. New witnesses are planned to be interrogated and video materials may be demonstrated.

Let us remind you that the prosecutor demands to return the driving inspectors guilty of power abuse and causing a threat to people’s lives and health. They may be imprisoned for up to three years.

In their turn, the driving inspectors do not want to plead guilty. Moreover, they claim that they were not going to create any “live shield” with the help of cars and explained their actions by the lack of time needed for reaction.
