Hollywood style robbery jewelry shop in Minsk
An armed robbery of a jewelry shop has occurred in Minsk. BelTA informs that the police were called at 3.15 p.m. on July 14. Policemen arrived three minutes later. They found out that the robber broke the shop window, threatened the sales assistant with a knife, stole gold ware and fled.
The police detained a 37-year-old inhabitant of Chashniki, Vitsebsk Province, at 3.23 p.m. The man had a previous conviction for a theft and hooliganism. 142 pieces of jewelry costing 89 million rubles were found on him.
The robber may be imprisoned for up to 15 years.
