Homel Region wants anthem in Belarusian

Homel Region executive committee has started a contest for the region’s best anthem. The action is dated for the 90th anniversary of Homel province. Inhabitants of Homel Region and other regions of the country can send their texts (in Belarusian) and music to the department of culture of the regional executive committee by March 18, 2009.

BelaPAN informs that the best text and music will be chosen by a special commission of musicians, poets and public figures by March 31. The winner will get a pecuniary recompense.
