Homel UDF coalition to watch election committees
Homel affiliate of the United Democratic Forces announced the main directions of its election activities at a meeting on September 22 – working in election committees and watching them, informs BelaPAN. The coalition is going to select 30 people who will work in territorial election committees – regional and district ones.
Members of the coalition confirmed the position adopted in the summer of 2009: they would not join teams of presidential contenders unless there is a single opposition candidate. At the same time it was noted that activists of political parties could take personal decisions whether to support this or that candidate.
