House of Representatives doesn't ratify Customs Code

The ratification of the Customs Code of the Customs Union of Belarus, Russia and Kazakhstan was not on agenda of today's plenary session of the House of Representatives, Belapan reported. Moscow hoped that Belarusian lawmakers would consider the issue of ratification today on the last day of the fourth session of the parliament. The Customs Union will work from July 1 in any case, said Russia's Ministry for Economic Development. For now, the union will have two participants -- Russia and Kazakhstan.

Belarus ties its participation in the Customs Union with the avolition of levies on Russian crude oil and petrochemical products.
