Hrodna hospital successfully fights “bird flu”
A special exercise was organized in one of Hrodna hospitals yesterday. Actions of the staff in case of alarming symptoms were worked through. According to the training session’s idea, a local inhabitant arrived in hospital with suspicious symptoms. Her condition was worsening and the girl felt general weakness.
The waiting room was immediately closed for other visitors and the patient was isolated in a closed ward. Several minutes later a sample of her blood was sent for analysis in a special laboratory.
Such exercises are organized in connection with outbreaks of bird flu registered in several regions of Poland. Sanitary control has become stricter at Belarusian customs check-points, reports the STV Channel.
