Hugo Chavez objects to new US ambassador

Venezuela's president Hugo Chavez is against Larry Palmer to be appointed as US ambassador to Caracas.

During a televised address, Chavez called on the US president Barak Obama to revise the candidature of Palmer. Chavez reckons he does not meet the rules of diplomacy.

Recently, Larry Palmer critisized the moral and professional qualities of the Venezuelan troops. Besides, he did not rule out a link between Caracas and Columbian insurgents. Venezuela's foreign ministry accused the diplomat of interfereing with the country's internal affairs, reports Radio Svaboda.
