Hungarian Ambassador hopes liberalization in Belarus will be continued

The Hungarian Ambassador to Belarus Ferenc Kontra hopes that the presidential contenders will have a real opportunity to tell the people about their programs.

The diplomat stated in his interview to BelaPAN that the presidential election campaign in Belarus is not conducted upon the same scenario as in Hungary. According to him,  Hungarian election campaigns are rather noisy, as candidates want to show who they are, they are talked about, they are shown on TV, everyone knows them.

"Belarusian presidential election campaign is quiet, some contenders are mentioned on TV, but they don't appear on air themselves", — said the diplomat.

Ferenc Kontra
declared his hope that this year's presidential election campaign in Belarus would be better than the previous one.

"I want to believe that the liberalization which has started during collection of signatures for registration of presidential contenders will be continued and the participants of the political process will have a real opportunity to tell the people about their programs", — underlined Ferenc Kontra.
