Huns destroy about 70 grave-stones in Brest

Huns destroyed about 70 grave-stones at the Catholic cemetery in Brest. The memorial stones were turned upside down, the crosses were broken. Several granite memorials, which were in a comparatively good state, were fallen over. The huns overthrew as old grave-stones, as the new ones. Crypts also suffered. A neighbouring organization managed to place a new bordering wall above the broken grave-stone.

According to the activist of the Union of Poles, Polish Consulate has been informed and is taking appropriate measures.

An investigation has been initiated in this case.

It is worth mentioning, that the cemetery was cleaned of trees and garbage back in 2001.
