Hunt for Square participants continues
BCD members Zmitser Shurhai, Yuras Bakur and Andrei Sharenda were detained late in the evening in Brest yesterday.
The activists of the organization were driving out of the parking lot
near a supermarket when their car was blocked by driving inspectorate
cars. Policemen checked their documents and demanded to search the
passenger compartment. Yuras Bakur refused them. The young men were
blocked in their car for 10 minutes. Zmitser Shurhai decided to get out
of the car. The policemen demanded that he should stop and ran after
him. He stopped answering his phone a bit later.
Bakur managed to
inform that the policemen broke into their car and delivered the young
men to Brest Moscow Department of the Interior. Zmitser Shurhai was
already there, in handcuffs. The policemen started interrogating the
detained in the Department of the Interior.
The guys took part in the Square-2010, informs Radio Liberty.
