Independent candidate is warned for nailed poster in Mahileu
A deputy contender from the central Mahileu constituency Alyaksandr Silkou has been warned about a poster nailed to a block of flats. The poster was photographed and sent to the district election commission.
The first lot of Silkou’s posers did not contain the date-line. When the candidate noticed it, he colleted them and sent to the commission. However, one poster was not found. Somebody took it away in Belarusian-Russian University. Alyaksandr Silkou informed ERB that they had been waiting for the poster to appear somewhere.
A.Silkou: “You know, accusations of nailing a poster are not worth a jigger. It turns out that my initiative group use hammers and nails to attach posters. We live in the 21st century, they might have invented something else”.
Alyaksandr Silkou says that the warning means that the team is doing a good job and new provocations are coming. The authorities will react to tem. “This is a warning to the other candidates”, notes the deputy contender.
