Independent observers stay overnight only at one precinct
Independent observers were allowed to stay overnight only at election precincts in Baranavichy. The coordinator of the "For Fair Election" campaign Siarhej Kaliakin has informed Euroradio about this.
He stated that there had been 24-hours observation at almost all the 250 precincts where independent observers had worked. Now they are processing the data collected yesterday.
Kaliakin: “There is only one such example so far - in Baranavichy - when they allowed to stay overnight at the precincts' premises. On the whole, we observed 24 hours, I don't know whether at all the 250 precincts, but still, at many of them. Somebody observed from cars. As for the official permit from the commission, we got that only in Baranavichy. This is what we can say for sure by the moment”.
