Іosіf Syaredzіch: “Narodnaya Vola” survived worse cataclysms”
The editor-in-chief of “Narodnaya Vola” Iosif Syaredzich has studied the decision of Leninski District Court of Minsk today. According to it, the independent edition was fined for 25 million BRB. Syaredzich was gone from Minsk for several days.
Let us remind you that “Narodnaya Vola” “insulted” the “head ideologist” of the country Aleh Pralyaskouski.
In her article a journalist Maryna Koktysh (fined for 2 million BRB) noted that the deputy head of the ideological department of the President’s Administration Uladzimir Holad arrested for bribery “was borrowing” money for somebody.
She also wrote about his special “relationship” with his boss Pralyaskouski. The latter demanded compensation for moral damage.
It is necessary to mention that Holad has not been returned guilty yet and it is not clear what circumstances will be revealed in court. However, Leninski District Court did not wait for it and fined the independent edition.
In his interview given to ERB Iosif Syaredzich said he would take his final decision about the actions of the editorial staff after having studied all the information on that case.
Syaredzich remains optimistic. “Narodnaya Vola” has gone through much worse cataclysms and will survive this one too”, - he says.
