Italians to teach Belarusians how to build roads

The presentation of a concept of Minsk City's transportation systen took place on June 24. The project was developed by Italian road construction experts. The concept includes both the construction of roads and a business plan to make the roads profitable, said Alexei Fiodorov, director of state-owned road constructipon company Belgiprodor. He also noted that Belarus has been actively copying the European experience. "No doubt, the European level of development is ahead of us, and they have more experience how to solve such global projects. We are slowly getting closer. We are copying everything what they did but in a much faster manner.

Under Minsk's transport system concept, the second eltway and a railway line between Minsk and the Minsk International Airport will be built. The program seeks $4 billion in investments.
