Japan gives more than 75 thousand dollars to the hospital in Buda-Koshelevo

Japanese Embassy will donate medical equipment worth an estimated 76 thousand 473 dollars to the Central District Hospital in Buda-Koshelevo on September 1, informs BelaPAN.

The Embassy implements the program of the Japanese government "Grant aid for the people's security projects "Grass Roots".

The Japanese Embassy and the health care establishment "Central District Hospital of Buda-Koshelevo" signed a contract for providing grant aid for realisation of the project of shipment of medical equipment on March 06, 2009, in the framework of the above-mentioned program. The festive ceremony of giving the equipment to the hospital will take place on September 1. The event is to be attended by the Charge D'Affaires on Japan Affairs in Belarus  Matsuzaki Kiosi and the Attache of the Embassy Handa Miho.

Since the launch of the program of grant aid of the Japanese government to Belarus in 2004, contracts have been signed with regard to 20 projects. Grants amounting in total to more than a million and a half US dollars have been provided to the hospitals located at the territories which suffered from Chernobyl tragedy.
