KGB high-ranking officers tried for corruption
The Supreme Court of Belarus has opened a hearing of the case which involves two former high-ranking officers from the state security service, KGB. Mikhail Mikhalap, the former chief of economic crime and corruption task force, and Aliaksandr Miatselitsa, the former head of human resources and ideology are facing several charges, including bribery, forgery and illegal storage of ammunition. Former KGB officers, both in the rank of Colonel, received numerous bribes and "presents" from local businessmen, reports ONT. The defendants have only admitted they were guilty of storing bullets.
