KGB starts attacking Kaliakin's party
Two vice-chairmen of the Belarusian Left Party "Fair World" Anatol Lashkevich and Valer Ukhnaliou have been detained this morning at the railway station.
Valer Ukhnaliou has informed to the portal UDF.BY that he arrived to the railway station in the morning to meet Anatol Lashkevich who returned from Moscow.
"The grounds for our detention were of formal character: one of us allegedly had something wrong with his passport, another one allegedly looked like a person who had committed a crime and is wanted. They asked us to come to the police department. The KGB representatives were already waiting for us there. They handed out summons for interrogation, put us into a car and drove to the KGB office, where they interrogated us for several hours", said Ukhnaleu.
Ukhnaleu said that he was involved in the criminal case on mass disturbance in Minsk on December 19 as a witness. After the interrogation had been completed, the politicians were released.
The leader of the "Fair World" party Siarhej Kaliakin has also been summoned to the KGB for an interrogation by the investigator Aliaksandr Yatchanka.
Let us remind you, yesterday the party's press-center published a statement of the Central Committee's Bureau, in which the party condemned the use of excessive force against the participants of the peaceful protest action and other people and urged the authorities to release all the detained immediately.
