Is Kurmanbek Bakiyev’s brother in Belarus?
Zhanybek, a brother of the former President of Kyrgyzstan Kurmanbek Bakiyev, is in Belarus. According to BelaPAN, the head of the State National Security Service of Kyrgyzstan Keneshenbek Dushabayev has claimed it.
This is not the first statement of the Kyrgyz authorities. Thus, the vice Prime Minister of the provisional government Azimbek Beknazarov told journalists on July 7 that the official Bishkek has asked the Interpol to find out the whereabouts of Zhanybek Bakiyev in Belarus.
The Belarusian General Office of the Public Prosecutor does not comment on the information about the whereabouts of Kurmenbek Bakiyev’s brother.
The brothers Bakiyev are wanted because they are accused of grave crimes including murders. According to Kyrgyz sources, the former President Bakiyev has six brothers. Zhanybek Bakiyev used to be the head of the State Security Service.
