Lazavіk: Alyaksandr Kazulіn cannot become deputy contender due to previous convictions

Alyaksandr Kazulіn will not be able to run for a deputy of the House of Representatives due to his previous convictions. The secretary of the Central Election Commission Mikalai Lazavik has informed ERB about it.
“Previous convictions are an obstacle for the registration of deputy contenders. There are certain procedures aimed at removing previous convictions. It is approved by the law. He cannot become a deputy contender; moreover, the term of nomination is coming to an end”.

Let us remind you that Alyaksandr Kazulin was released last Saturday according to a pardon decree. He has not revealed his plans for the future and has promised to inform about everything during a press conference on Wednesday.

The registration of candidates is to finish today.
