Leading Russian newspapers to be out with blank spaces to express their protest
Leading Russian newspapers will be out with blank spaces on May 21. They are protesting against the postal rate boost. Most of printed mass media and readers have already sent letters to the Russian President Dmitrii Medvedev asking to solve the problem of the postal rate.
It is reported that the front pages of newspapers and magazines will only contain five red lines on the white background – “You can stifle the freedom of speech in different ways. Postal rate boost is one of them”.
