Literary critics in Belarus to conduct opinion polls

Dr. Mikhas Mushynski, a fellow member of the National Academy of Belarus, has advised researchers from the Institute of Language and Literature to conduct public opinion polls, reports Belapan. He believes that the polls could help identify the demand of readers and the target print-run of the books. The polls would always be helful in studying the attitude of the present generation towards the Belarusian prose, poetry and drama classics.

Mushynski voiced his proposal during the international scientific conference, organized by the Yakub Kolas and Yanka Kupala Institute of Language and Literature at the National Academy of Sciences in Minsk. The forum addresed the problems which the contemporary Belarusian literature is facing and discussed the processes of cultural interaction between Slavs.
