Lithuania to keep visas free of charge for some Belarusians
Lithuania will keep its entry visas free of charge for some categories of the Belarusian citizens after January 2008 when Lithuania is set to join the Schengen zone agreement, Edminas Bagdonas, the Lithuanian Ambassador in Minsk said. He said that his embassy currently issues free visas to the list of several categories of the Belarusians, including the newly wed couples under 21 years old and the elderly people above 65 years old as well as to the representatives of science, culture and music and to those who have close relatives burried on the territory of Lithuania. It is planned that this list will not be abolished after Lithuania enters the Shengen agreement, according to the Belta news agency.
