Lithuania to pass digital copies of Grand Duchy of Lithuania's documents to Belarus
The digital copies of documents that date back to the times of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania will be passed to Belarus by Lithuania, Belarusian culture minister Pavel Latushka told BELTA news agency after meeting with Lithuania's culture minister Arunas Gelunas.
Latushka also revealed some plans associated with the restoration of Ivan Lutskevich's Belarusian Museum in Vilnius. According to the culture minister, Belarus will officially request Lithuania to pass the digital copies of those documents. he expressed hope that the Lithuanian side would treat this request positively.
His Lithuanian counterpar, in turn, did not rule out that Belarus and Lithuania could join efforts in restoring the heritage sites of Grand Duchy of Lithuania. In his opinoin, this is the major task Belarus and Lithuania have to work on in the future.
Arunas Gelunas also assured his Belarusian colleague that he would personally oversee the restoration of Ivan Lutsevich's Belarusian Museum in Vilnius.
