Lithuanian embassy temporarily stops accepting visa applications following vandal attack

The Lithuanian embassy in Minsk has temporarily stopped accepting visa applications following an overnight vandal attack, Nasha Niva reported with reference to Lithuanian media.

Ambassador Edminas Bagdonas sent a letter of protest to the Belarusian foreign ministry, demanding an investigation and measures to prevent recurrent attacks.

Kristina Pakanite, second secretary of the Lithuanian embassy, said that vandals threw bottles with paint and leaflets of Russia's far-left National Bolshevik Party on the embassy's territory, and painted symbols on the fence.
