Lithuanian Parliament adopts resolution on Belarus

The Lithuanian Seimas committee on foreign affairs has adopted a resolution on the events in Minsk on December 22. The resolution contains a demand to release the Lithuanian citizen Volha Marzheuskaya, detained during the protest action in Minsk, and other participants of the demonstration, immediately. The resolution also says about a serious concern with regard to use of excessive force against peaceful demonstrants, informs Delfi.lt.

The committee supports the OSCE's conclusions with regard to the presidential election. Let us remind you, the OSCE stated on December 20 it was not ready to give positiove estimation to the presidential election in Belarus as it did not meet the organization's standards.
