Loss-making mill sold at auction in Hancavichy

A loss-making flour mill has been sold at an auction for Br 367 million. The money was wired to the local district budget. 10 years ago, the mill employed over 70 people.
17 workers have now remained unemployed. But neither the district administration nor the new owner do not reveal what kind of production will be launched at the former mill.

The Hancavichy district is notorious for the highest unemployment level in the country and the biggest number of loss-making enterprises, whose total debt currently amounts to Br1 billion.
