Lukashenka amends university enrollment procedures
Alexander Lukashenka has signed a decree, introducing amendments and additionas to the rule of enrollment with universities and colleges, reports the press office of the Belarusian president.
The document sets out equal conditions and reduces the term of applications for the paid and state-sponsored forms of education. It has also abolished the in-house examination on the subjects that are included in the centralized tests.
The decree has also reduced the number of those seeking emrollment without competition. Orphans and the children with parental guidance remain entitled to admission without competition. The winners and runners-up at the international and national subject "Olympic games" are also allowed to seek admission without competition.
Invalids are also entitled to taking part in the competition for the distance learning courses or evening courses at the cost of the budget, reports Interfax
